The Boys & Girls Club of Hall County held a recruiting event at Gainesville campus in the
Student Center from 11 am to 1 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
“Boys & Girls Club of Hall County is a non-profit organization that serves youth from K – 12 grades,” said UNG president of Career services Debbie Pierce. “They provide afterschool structured activities and currently have a Youth Development Professional, Sports Instructor, and Front Desk positions available.”
Valerie Frost, Human Resources Representative for Boys & Girls Club of Hall County, handed out applications to students seeking part-time employment or volunteer opportunities.
“This benefits UNG because it gives those students who want to work with children and sports, an opportunity to do so for a nonprofit organization,” Frost said.
“And of course, you get paid,” Frost said.
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 2:30 to 6:30 pm.
“This allows students to go to school in the mornings and get off work at a reasonable time to get their classwork done,” Frost said.
