Your vacation’s over and you’re tired, maybe you have jetlag or you’re just lazy from not having to do anything for a week. No shame, but its almost the Saturday prior to going back to classes and you have no motivation to prepare yourself for the week. Well unfortunately you do have to go back to classes and you probably have some work due or chapters to read.
So here are a couple of quick tips to help you get back into the swing of things:
Once you’re home from your week in paradise, you should pull out all your syllabi and check to see what you have going on the week you start back with classes.
Once you have the syllabi turned to the week you return, it would probably be in your best interest to read the chapters you’re going to go over. I’m not saying read every chapter through and through, but a little skimming would be acceptable.
Do not overlook the quiz or second half of your paper due the week you come back. Some of you may have that professor that has something due right when you get back because you were supposed to be working on it all month and you chose to put it aside. Professors most likely will not give you an extension. Just do it. A whole paper can be written in a night. It may not be A+ worthy, but it’ll be better then the zero you think your grade can handle.
Once you have that done and you have somewhat prepared yourself for the upcoming week, you need to do laundry. Put back your crop tops and cubbies (cause the weather nice in Georgia, but its not that nice) and get some clothes washed to wear to school.
Doing these quick tips will help you get ready for that first day back to classes and get back in the swing of things. On the bright side, now that you’re back and doing homework, you’re that much closer to the end of the semester. Only a couple of weeks left until you’re out for summer and can go to cool music festivals or the neighborhood pool. Either way, spring break being over is a bummer but it’s getting you closer to the end of the semester!
