Pretty days can’t be wasted in North Georgia. Iron Mountain Resort allows you to explore the mountains in a fun, adventurous way with all your family and friends.
The off-road park has 4,300 acres of land with over 150 miles of trails and fun. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, Iron Mountain has trails for you.
Jordan Fields, a sophomore business major at the University of North Georgia, says, “Overall, the park was really nice and had great trails that gave me that rush of excitement when we rode down through the woods.”
They have a motocross track for those two-wheeled enthusiasts who are looking to go fast and catch some air.
Other options for the trail riding are ATVs, side-by-sides and different types of 4×4 vehicles.
You can also camp out at the designated camp sites and keep riding the next day to continue the fun.
The park also hosts many events such as races for all types of machines, an outdoor movie night once a month and more. Check out Iron Mountain Resort for more details about these events.
If you don’t have a ride, side by side rentals are available at the front of the park. They come with a full tank of gas and range from $475 to $700 per day, depending on which side by side you get. You must be at least 24 years old to rent and drive the side by side.
They are open seven days a week with hours differing on weekends. Day passes and season passes are available through the website or at the park.
Located 16 minutes from the Dahlonega square, this makes for a great day trip to take the family or friends out on a beautiful day.
