The 2024-2025 school year at the University of North Georgia is officially in full swing. Keeping in trend with years past, UNG will celebrate the beginning of the fall semester with “Weeks of Welcome” (WoW).
From Aug. 9-23, students will have the chance to meet new people through a variety of WoW on-campus events. WoW was designed to help students form new relationships, reconnect with peers, transition to college-living and learn about the opportunities and resources available to them at UNG. WoW has plenty to offer for both new and returning students.
The WoW festivities kicked off on UNG’s Dahlonega campus with the “Multicultural Student Affairs/Residential Hall Association Glow Party” and “PJs and Popcorn” on Friday and Saturday night. On Sunday, Aug. 11, students can head to the Drill Field at 7:30 p.m. for “Sundae, Sunday!” to enjoy ice cream with friends. This will serve as the opener for “Nighthawk Kick Off” at 8 p.m., which is a “welcome home” event for students with food, games and giveaways.
Below is a list of the rest of the WoW events taking place on the Dahlonega campus over the next two weeks. This list comes directly from UNG’s Student Involvement and can also be found here:
