The University of North Georgia’s annual Fall Fest returns on Oct. 24 from 7 – 10 p.m. at the Gainesville Student Center. Hosted by Nighthawk Entertainment, this annual event gives students a break from classes with the opportunity to embrace the fall and Halloween spirit.
Treasurer of Nighthawk Entertainment Ivan Perez described a fun-filled night with a mixture of indoor and outdoor activities in order to anticipate whatever temperature the fall season brings.
Attendees can test their luck at the casino tables which will feature a variety of popular card games, including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette and Texas Hold’em. They can also visit the slime-making station to relax and get creative.
“We are definitely encouraging everyone to come in costumes because there will be a costume contest.” – Ivan Perez, Treasurer of Nighthawk Entertainment
Students can go to the face painting stations on a first come, first served basis to get some last-minute additions to their costumes. There will also be caricature artists available to paint fun, exaggerated portraits for students to take home.
Starting at 8 p.m., the evening will wrap up with a movie screening in the Quad. Although the film title remains a surprise, students can expect a Halloween or horror-themed movie. Students are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs for the outdoor screening.
