Join Vanguard this Tuesday, Feb. 14. on the University of North Georgia’s Gainesville campus, for their Valentine’s Day celebration called “Vanguard Finds your Valentine.”
Vanguard Student News is partnering with Gainesvilles Spectrum Alliance Club to bring students an exciting event. The event is from noon to 1 p.m. in the Robinson Ballroom located in the Student Center.
If you don’t have plans for Valentine’s Day then these clubs have you covered. The event is open to all active UNG students. Emma Keisler, a senior Communications major and Vanguard’s Editor in Chief, introduces the event saying, “Our event, ‘Vanguard finds your Valentine,’ is a speed dating event where students can mingle, make friends, and have fun on Valentine’s Day.”
Keisler says, “Students will be able to experience Valentine’s Day in a unique way by mixing speed dating, musical chairs, and an additional twist. Many of our club members are excited and we hope to have a great turnout.”
As for the overall goal of the event, Keisler says, “We hope everyone, single or taken, will attend to meet people and experience something new.”
She says, “I think this event will be a great opportunity to create fun memories for those that don’t usually like Valentine’s Day or are always alone.”
So don’t spend Valentine’s Day alone this year and meet tons of new people at “Vanguard Finds your Valentine.”
We encourage students to arrive 15-20 minutes early to allow for the check in process.
