Champion says, “I feel like we’ve been having like a bad time with getting the lead and letting it cut short, but I feel like today we dominated most of the main of the game and finish it out pretty strong.”
He said that they didn’t defend much as they could have, and that making free throws was a big part of them wining the game. “I think we did good with that, that was a big stretch for us,” he said.
UNG’s Head Coach Dan Evans says, “We did a good job for long stretches, pushing the second half of playing in our control and making the right decisions offensively, and I felt we gradually were better defensively in controlling the basketball and making their shots tougher.” He continues saying, “any time you can win a lead game by double figures and control most of the second half, I mean it’s a pretty good day.”
