SaltyMF is a company that promotes the attitude that wears well. Brad Banyas and Paul Sciandra started the brand in 2021 and have made it their goal to create the greatest brand of all time.

“Salty is fun. It’s different and it starts a conversation piece,” said Banyas.

The idea for the company started from an old man Banyas spent a beach day talking to. “He was a beachcomber. He looked like an interesting guy. He had a really good story. He was gritty and salty. I ended up calling him a SaltyMF’r. He joked that would be good on a t-shirt,” said Banyas.

From there Banyas and Sciandra created their lifestyle brand. While that old beachcomber doesn’t know it, he embodies the brand.

“Salty is about being edgy, tough, bitchy.” – Brad Banyas, co-founder of SaltyMF

Banyas and Sciandra work together in the software industry and used their connections to help grow the band, which ultimately helped their software business as well.

People love this brand for how personal and real it is.

“Brad is awesome. He is an awesome dude with an awesome company,” said Mike Dunn, SaltyMF wearer.

Banyas use to coach and being the GOAT (greatest of all time) in sports inspired ideas for new gear. Along with creating apparel, SaltyMF has a podcast and the NIL house show which highlights high school and college athletes. Each podcast guest and athlete fit the SaltyMF description: grit, toughness and individuality.

‘The reality behind what we are doing with the podcast and the brand itself is about honoring people and telling their life stories and highlighting people,” said Banyas.

The apparel can be found online and is growing in an organic way. They haven’t tapped into the retail side of things. There are currently ten employees, and each one is key.

A day to day for Banyas is creating new designs, setting up ideas for the podcast and talking to athletes. Banyas’ coaching has helped his brand to sponsor athletes. This helps the athletes get exposure along with SaltyMF.

Banyas claims, “the brand has given us a platform to get into the edge of things that I could never really get into in the software business. We connect with people.”

SaltyMF has a great network around it today and is becoming more popular all over. The brand is about being yourself, being independent and owning who you are.

“I’m not in the t-shirt business, I’m in the attitude business,” according to Banyas. Their goal is to sell an attitude and a way of life.

From their website, you can find lifestyle apparel, along with links to the SaltyMF podcast and the NIL House show and their roster of athletes and their player of the week.
