Forsyth County residents will soon have a new go-to burger spot.

Vickery Burger Bar has started construction and is set to open in Vickery Village sometime this month. This new restaurant will take place of Gao Noodle in the village.

Kurt Arseneau and David Datlof started Vickery Burger Bar as a place for everyone. They plan to be kid friendly while also serving craft beers and wine for adults.

“There will be food for everyone. I want to be a part of all the schools, it is very important to us. It brings parents in and makes it a family thing,” said Datlof.

While the smash burgers are set to be a hit, there will also be chicken sandwiches, fries and much more. They plan to use fresh ingredients and create a special burger for each guest they serve.

Residents in Vickery Village were thrilled for a spot that is simple, delicious and a good place to hang out.

“Everyone loves hamburgers. Eating hamburgers and having a beer is great.” -David Misiaszek, resident in Vickery Village.

Datlof currently owns Village Italian Pizza in Vickery, which has been a great spot for locals in the county. Vickery Burger Bar is expected to bring in new faces along with Datlof’s Village Italian regulars since he has so much support in the community.

Datlof has taken many suggestions from his current customers and is making it a priority to bring foods and beverages in that people want.

“David is always around Village Italian talking about his new burger place, he took our suggestions on what beers they should have,” said Libbey Laprise, Village Italian regular. “He is a guy who cares about what his customers want. I think me and a lot of other people like that about him.”

The village has many different restaurant options, but this spot will be affordable and family friendly.

“I can’t wait to try their burgers,” said Misiaszek. “There have been quite a few different restaurants in that spot, but this is the one I am most excited about. I’m sure everyone is. This is exactly what the neighborhood needed.”

Vickery Burger Bar will be located at 5863 S Vickery St. Cumming, GA 30040. To stay updated on the construction process, visit Vickery Villages Facebook page.
