Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration

Walt+Disney+World+50th+Anniversary+Celebration

On Oct. 1 1971, the most magical and happiest place on earth opened its gates. On that day, around 10,000 people flooded Magic Kingdom to enjoy a day filled with fun. On Oct. 1 2021, Walt Disney World began its 50th Anniversary Celebration which will last until March of 2022. You can enjoy things like special treats, firework shows and mini parades.

Alongside the celebration, Disney has recently added some new attractions to their theme parks. At Hollywood Studios you can board a train to go on an adventure with Mickey and Minnie on their Runaway Railway. You can join the fight against Kylo Ren and become a member of the resistance on Rise of the Resistance and fly a ship on Smugglers Run also at Hollywood Studios. Take a boat cruise with Anna, Elsa and friends on Frozen: The Ride and watch Remy cook through a hat on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at Epcot. Sing “heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it’s off to work we go,” with the dwarfs on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom.

Also coming in 2022 is the Tron Light-Cycle Power Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind which will both be high speed roller coasters.

After a long and hard COVID-19 season, Walt Disney World is finally welcoming back almost 100% capacity. Cast members, Mickey and all his friends are so happy to see everyone. With pixie dust in the air and magic around every corner, Disney has fun for all ages.
