The Boar’s Head Brigade Presents the UNG’s Corp of Cadets Spring 2023 Military Ball
The University of North Georgia’s Military Ball will be held on April 21, 2023, at 6 p.m. at the Convocation Center on the Dahlonega campus, according to First Battalion Commander Christian Brooks and is the Military Ball Coordinator, a senior political science major with a concentration in pre-law. “We haven’t had a ball since 2018. Covid slowed everything down.”
The alumni guest speaker for the Military Ball is Col. Patrick Willis.
Brooks said the ball will be a formal dinner with everyone in either formal civilian attire or military dress. “The dress will be Military formal attire. They’ll (ladies) also be in this uniform but they have the option to wear the skirt that comes with the uniform. Your plus-one can dress formally,” said Brooks.
“We are going to have dinner and walk through protocols of what a typical actual military ball would look like. We are going to do toasts and we are going to have a guest speaker. There’ll be a period at the end where people can dance if they want to,” said Brooks.
Brooks noted that the ball is anticipating 480 people and 30 VIPs who will be attending including UNG President Bonita Jacobs and a few other university staff.
