All About SpringFest 24!

GAINESVILLE, Ga. (AP) — On April 20th, the University of North Georgia’s Gainesville campus was buzzing with energy as students gathered on the quad for the highly anticipated Spring Fest organized by the student group Nighthawk Entertainment. The event, in line with the organization’s mission statement of providing entertainment and enrichment for students, offered a variety of engaging activities and attractions to help students unwind after a rigorous spring semester of learning and studying.

Nighthawk Entertainment, known for its commitment to creating a unifying and inclusive campus environment, delivered a festival experience that catered to the diverse interests of UNG students.

Attendees were treated to a range of attractions, including a mock axe throw, a 24-foot-long inflatable alligator water slide, a corn maze and a daring free fall stunt jump from dizzying heights. The dunking booth provided interactive fun as student club members braved the challenge of being drenched by skillful throwers. The 3 sided ninja climb tower wall added an element of skill with students having an opportunity to conquer each side of the climbing wall and being able to signal their success by hitting a siren at the top of each side.

Nighthawk Entertainment also distributed free shirts along with tickets for complimentary snacks and drinks. The event also featured a Kona Ice Truck, offering students a refreshing and healthier twist on the classic shaved ice snow cone.

The Kona Ice attendant who operated the truck, highlighted the use of syrups made with 50% less sugar and sweetened with all-natural stevia, ensuring a delicious treat for the attendees. “Kona Ice is a delightful way to beat the Georgia heat,” she remarked.

The Spring Fest hosted by Nighthawk Entertainment was a vibrant event that brought together the UNG community for a few hours of excitement and relaxation. As students gear up for upcoming finals and summer break, the memories of this festive day will serve as a reminder of the joy found in shared experiences on campus amidst the demands of academic life.
