It’s finally February, and Valentine’s Day is right around the corner at the University of North Georgia. Whether it sets your heart aflutter or fills you with dread, if there’s a special lady in your life, you may be wondering: How can I impress her this year?
If this is you, look no further. Check out what these students said would make the perfect Valentine’s Day gifts.
1) Stick to the Classics
Not surprisingly, when asked what they wanted for Valentine’s Day this year, most students had the same answer: flowers and chocolate. “Those are my two favorite things,” said UNG sophomore Hannah Santana. Education major Lauren Segraves agreed, as she loves “any and all flowers.” Selma Spahic had a similar answer, but added in stuffed animals, specifically plushies, and preserved roses.

2) Dainty Jewelry
Other students opted for gifts they could wear, specifically jewelry. Before you break the bank on diamonds and gold, most students said they’d prefer something that represents their relationship.
“I hinted to my boyfriend that I want a dainty necklace with his initial on it. Nothing crazy expensive – I just love simple jewelry, and I love him, so it’d be perfect!” – UNG sophomore Cherish Kitchens

With the current crystal craze, some students mentioned precious gems. “If I got crystals, I’d be jumping up and down!” said nursing student Estefania Esmerio. For Valentine’s Day, what could be more fitting than a rose quartz, the stone of love? Take a look at this rose quartz heart necklace from Etsy.
3) Quality Time
Marketing student McKenzie Smith said that what she wants most this year is quality time. “Gifts are great, but memories last a lifetime!” said Smith.
UNG sophomore Katelyn Dennis agreed, stating that she’d love “an experience we could do together or a romantic dinner somewhere.” For a fun activity to do with your significant other, check out these Lego rose, teddy bear and bouquet building sets as popularized by TikTok.
