Logan Paul, KSI and MrBeast have teamed together to launch a new grab-and-go food product called Lunchly. The food product is set to have Prime Hydration and Feastables, brands owned respectively by the trio. Lunchly will compete against the popular pre-packaged meals brand Lunchables.
The brand has announced three entrees, all similar to those included in Lunchables. They have “The Pizza,” which has cheese pizza and uncured pepperoni, “Fiesta Nachos” that consist of nacho chips with queso blanco and salsa and “Turkey Stack Ems” with turkey, cheddar cheese and crackers. All three entrees will have one of three flavors of Prime and either a milk chocolate or Milk Crunch chocolate bar.
The trio has announced Lunchly will be a healthier option to the established grab-and-go food market that has been dominated by Lunchables for decades.
“We’re here to shake up the grab-and-go market with Lunchly. It’s time for a new, exciting option that brings more fun and convenience to lunchtime, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing.” – KSI, Prime co-founder
Parent and Lunchables buyer Ashley Hawkins was interested in the new Lunchly product, saying “My kids like Lunchables, so I’m interested to see if they like Lunchly just as much.”
Lunchly is being sold at Kroger and various smaller stores with a price tag of $3.99.
Prime consumer Ezra Davis added, “I enjoy Prime and MrBeast’s chocolate, so I’ll have to try Lunchly, although I probably won’t buy much of it.”
The creators have had a massive influence in the YouTube and entertainment industry. Their target audience is elementary school-aged children and their parents.
Consumer Reports said that Lunchables contain dangerous amounts of lead and sodium. Amy Keating, a dietician at Consumer Reports stated, “There’s a lot to be concerned about in these kits. They’re highly processed, and regularly eating processed meat, a main ingredient in many of these products, has been linked to increased risk of some cancers.”
Prime has recently faced three lawsuits. A $5 million class action lawsuit alleges deceptive labeling/marketing and “forever chemicals” in its packaging. The Olympic Committee is suing Prime for copyright infringement over marketing materials for its collaboration with Kevin Durant. The latest lawsuit is for $68 million over a breach of contract with Refresco Beverages, a beverage bottling company that bottles Prime.
MrBeast has recently been involved in serious allegations towards him and his brand. In July, his friend and frequent collaborator, Ava Kris Tyson, was accused of having inappropriate conversations with minors. A month later, a former employee accused Tyson of sexually assaulting her. Although Tyson has denied these allegations, she has been removed from the channel and brand. Old videos of MrBeast have resurfaced of him making racially insensitive jokes, for which he has apologized.
