In a world where student expenses can add up quickly, it is always good to know when student discounts and deals are available. There are many options for students to save money in person as well as online.
Dunkin’ Donuts offers a 10% discount on whole orders for students at almost every location, offering an easy and cheap stop for coffee before arriving at campus.
For those in need of tech upgrades, Apple offers various discounts for students. With offers up to 10% on products like MacBooks, iPads and software, this discount could take $100 off select Apple items. Students can also save 20% on AppleCare and protection for any new purchase.

Chick-fil-A holds College Night every Thursday from 5 – 9 p.m., where students can get a free chicken sandwich or dessert with any purchase. Chick-fil-A also offers a scholarship opportunity to their student employees for $25,000 with an application for each different scholarship online. Whataburger in Dahlonega is also offering a discount on one meal per order for dine-in customers who show their student ID.
“Chick-fil-A aims to help all college students who are trying their best to work towards getting a degree and keeping a healthy lifestyle,” Mahailey Donaldson, an area leader at Chick-fil-A, said. “All the discounts are great and all students should have the Chick-fil-A app and scan it every time they go to the restaurant to get points. Those points can add up to an entire free meal.”
Fitness enthusiasts at the Oconee campus or living in Athens can also get discounts, such as $10 off one’s monthly payment at Fitness @ Five. The Fresh Market in Athens also offers 10% off every Wednesday for students to stock up on healthy groceries.
Clark explained how grocery discounts help her out. “Groceries are honestly a necessity and seem to be the most expensive purchase in my monthly buys. Discounts on food could help save me so much money I could then put towards other items I need for school.”
For self-care services, Universal Nail in Athens provides a 10% discount on any service daily, while Princeton Salon and Spa in Gainesville offers $20 off any service for first-time customers. For professional attire, The Uniform Shop in Gainesville provides 10% off in-store purchases with a valid student ID card.
Apparel discounts are abundant with offers from Adidas, Aeropostale, J. Crew and Levi’s for up to 15% off all regular price items online and at participating stores. Nike also offers a discount for up to 10% off most items online.
Students with a busy schedule do not have to worry about going to the store for their items. DoorDash offers a deal for students to enjoy delivery services for $4.99 a month. With the monthly purchase, DoorDash will cut your taxes in half and no longer charge you a delivery fee, making the total price the same as an in-store purchase. The only additional cost is the optional tip for the driver.
While on the topic of driving, NASCAR only charges students $20 – $25 for tickets with a valid student email address. Tickets usually range from $65 – $119 for adults so the discount gives students a chance to enjoy NASCAR and weekend plans without breaking the bank.
Some online subscriptions allow students to save money on entertainment. These include Spotify premium giving students ad free music and podcasts for $5.99 a month with also adding in a Hulu account with ads. YouTube Premium provides a one month subscription for free for students, followed by a lower monthly cost of $7.99. Lastly, Amazon Prime gives up to six months free with the post-expiration cost being $7.49 a month.
