It has been 26 years since the Atlanta Braves last won the World Series. That means it has also been 26 years since the Braves have gotten to celebrate a World Series Championship. The Braves finally broke that streak on Nov. 2 when they beat the Houston Astros in Game 6 of the championship series.
The Braves social media then announced that they would be having a parade through Atlanta to Truist Park on Nov. 5 to celebrate the champions. There was lots of excitement on Friday as Braves fans from all over filled the streets of Atlanta to yell and scream for them. The team rode down Peachtree Street and Riverwood Parkway into Truist Park on trolleys, busses, and trucks. They followed the end of the parade with a celebration inside Truist Park where team members and coaches spoke about the season and the excitement of winning.
