The Gainesville Chicken Festival is doing something special this year for its 20th anniversary. They announced that there will be a sticker contest to accompany the festival this year. Submissions for the sticker are due on Friday, September 19th, approximately one month before the actual festival date.
It is a free-to-enter contest, and any materials that you wish to use are usable, including graphic design, crayons, and repurposed construction. There are no limits on how you create your sticker, but the size does matter.
Lauren Schubert, the tourism communication manager for the City of Gainesville, said this.
“There’s two different variations one that is either a 3 x 3 circle or max for a rectangular one is about 5 inches. It’ll be about three 3 1/2 inches tall the 5 inch rectangular one and then the circle is a 3 x 3.”
There are plenty of different ways to turn in your design, but there are some requirements. You must include your full name (first and last), age, city of residence, and one of phone number or email address. Also, contestants must be residents of Gainesville-Hall County.
The stickers may be dropped off in person Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Gainesville Welcome Center in Suite 100. They can also be entered via mail to the Gainesville Public Relations Department to Public Relations Director Christina Santee-Moss, P.O. Box 2496, Gainesville, GA 30503. The last way to turn in the sticker is through the Gainesville Facebook page (@GainesvilleGeorgiaGovernment)
“We’re coming up with a couple of extra special things as well. A couple more games and a couple more ways for the community to get involved, so we’re really excited,” Schubert said.”

For those UNG students it could a potential accomplishment you could put on your resume.
