On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the viral reality show “Dancing with the Stars” brought their live show to Atlanta. The ten preforming professional ballroom dancers included Emma Slater, Val Chmerkovskiy, Britt Stewart, Alan Bersten, Brandon Armstrong, Jenna Johnson, Daniella Karagach, Pasha Pashkov, Ezra Sosa, and Hailey Bills. Atlanta had a special guest co-host, Elaine Hendrix.
The atmosphere was fun and the crowd was energetic. The fast-paced show included roughly 20 dance numbers choreographed by Emmy Award winner Mandy Moore. The show included group routines, duets and spotlight dances with featured celebrities.
The University of North Georgia student Makenzie Burge states, “The atmosphere was amazing. Everyone was super excited but also respectful when there were slower dances.”
Many fans, like Burge, love the dynamic between certain married pros, specifically Val and Jenna and Pasha and Daniella. Both couples dance passionately, expressing their love for one another.
“I absolutely loved the dance to Hotline Bling. Val, Jenna, Daniella and Hailey all danced to it, and it was amazing. There was also a very intimate dance between Val and Jenna that was so powerful to watch their love. I also thoroughly enjoyed Ezra and Hailey’s dance—it was super fun and exciting to watch! They also held up a sign about Diet Coke, which is my favorite drink, so I felt like they did it just for me.” – Makenzie Burge, Junior, Psychology major
“Dancing with the Stars” has been airing on television for 20 years and currently has 34 seasons. The live tours started in 2006 following the show’s second season and rebranded the tour in 2014. The live tour is a great way to gain publicity for the show and get fans prepared for the season to come.
“I am so excited for the next season of DWTS. The tour definitely made the anticipation and excitement even greater,” said Burge.
