Overcoming Guilt and Finding Success

The venue ends with a confetti blast as the members walk to the back and wave goodbye to the audience. “Thank you life for giving us this moment, thank you to the fans that waited 15 years to see us perform, we love and honor you. Remember to be a rebel and make your voices heard!” - RBD’s final message to the fans before departing

RBD plays their debut song, “Rebelde” (Rebel), an anthem for young people facing the challenges of adolescence and navigating their identities, with members Anahí and Dulce bringing their kids onto the stage.

For their final act, they take it back to their roots and light their uniforms, ready to be worn.

Anahí, another member whose difficulties were made public, takes the stage for the final solo act. During the early 2000s, she battled anorexia nervosa and bulimia and spent time in five treatment centers to recover. On Aug. 30, she did an interview and explained that while driving with her cousin, she felt chest pains, and her cousin rushed her to the hospital. Her heart stopped for three seconds. After this scare, she became a vocal spokesperson against eating disorders in Mexico. “No matter what happens, you and I know that we can do everything.” - Anahí

Maite then took the stage and performed her number, “Empezar Desde Cero” (Start Over From Zero), a song about starting over again after a difficult period in life.

When the group came back together, they had a kiss cam for one of their songs, “Besame Sin Miedo” (Kiss Me Without Fear).

Throughout his section, the venue became a colorful paradise, being the only time in the show that the wristbands were not a solid color. He ends his performance with a message to his fans. “You love whoever you want to love, and if anybody has a problem with it, they can go f*** themselves!” - Christian Chávez

The next section of the concert goes to Christian, a member who has faced difficulties with his personal life in the public eye. In 2007, after photos of him and his then-husband were leaked online of them getting married, he was outed to the public for being gay. Throughout his career in RBD, he has denied rumors of his sexuality, but after the photos leaked, he finally confirmed to his fans that he was gay. He made international headlines due to Mexico's traditionally conservative roots and is the first high-profile figure in Mexican showbiz to come out. Three months after his coming out, Chávez said the decision allowed him to "begin a healing process in which I left things behind and began many wonderful things."

On the screen is an animation of their first album cover, “Rebelde”, released on Nov. 30, 2004, in Mexico and on Jan. 11, 2005, in the United States and the rest of Latin America.

The ladies have their own time to shine, singing their songs, finishing off together, and waving to the fans.

The members sing “Otro Día Que Va'' (Another Day That Goes), a song that reflects on the daily struggles of life and pushes forward despite the challenges as they transition to the next act of the show.

RBD sings their newest song, “Cerquita De Ti” (Close To You), a song they released a few months before the tour, thanking their fans for supporting them throughout the years. No matter where they are in their careers, they will always be close to them.

Because they are playing at a smaller venue compared to the other shows, Atlanta got to witness a special entrance that no one had seen before.

Stands filled with merch, and only in Atlanta could fans purchase a limited-edition poster of the signature uniform with “Rebelde” plastered on top.

Fans line up to enter the Lakewood Amphitheatre at around 7:20, 40 minutes before the concert starts. The lines stretch beyond the entrance and near the crowded streets.
